A couple of weeks ago, I bought a CD. It's called "A Foot in the Door", and it was by Pink Floyd. I'm a fan of Pink Floyd, so I decided to take a look at it. It turns out to be a greatest hits album. I don't have any of their music on CD, so that was why I got it. So today, we're going to take a look at it.
"A Foot in the Door" features remastered songs. They sound great in both my old car stereo and my huge, loud headphones. The song list includes "Hey You", "Another Brick in the Wall", "Money", and "The Great Gig in the Sky". They are classics that you hear on any classic rock station, and it's great to find them in CD format and such great quality.
The cover art for "A Foot in the Door" is creative, like any other Pink Floyd cover. It features a collage of other Pink Floyd albums with a man wearing a graduation gown and hat and holding a briefcase walking across. This may portray looking back and, at the same time, moving forward in life. I could be wrong. I have been many times. Nevertheless, it stands out like any other Pink Floyd album art.
One thing I was worried about "A Foot in the Door" was that it wouldn't seem like a real Pink Floyd album. I thought it would seem like a CD featuring Pink Floyd music. If you have not heard a Pink Floyd album from beginning to end, the transitions between songs is seamless and it all seems like one large orchestral movement, until you flip over the record of course. "A Foot in the Door", even though the songs come from other albums, still has well done transitions, and it seems like a Pink Floyd album.
Overall, "A Foot in the Door" is a great CD for the Pink Floyd fan. It's hard to find their music on CD format, so a collection of their greatest hits was a good call. Well, I have only one question tonight.
What is your favorite greatest hits album?
